Pratt Lake

Me and Venky decided to this without much planning. The pics available online looked pretty good and the trail wasn’t too difficult. It was just long. Too long. Acutally, 12 mile doesn’t sound that bad but when its just dense forest for about 99 percent of the hike, boredom gets to you. Its a good way to just get lost in thought because, as I said, the trail is more of a stroll and there’s nothing much to see. We ended up at the wrong trailhead (again) but, thanks to the map, we figured the trail to Pratt Lake could be reached after a small diversion. We were at Talapus Lake trail which branched off to our intended destination after a few miles. The good part of getting to wrong starting point was we were able to see two additional lakes, Talapus and Olallie, on our way. We were sort of fed up with seeing so many lakes on our way to see another lake. Takes the pleasure out of it. Anyway, two and half (or maybe 3) hours later, we were there. Then swam for half and hour or so and turned back to another boring leg. Its an awesome place to camp for the night and I might actually go back but only to camp. Few pics.
